Salesforce and makepositive marathon – NSPCC

Our feature on this year’s London Marathon and the Salesforce runners in support of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), would not be complete if we didn’t hear from NSPCC themselves. We talked to Lloyd Butcher, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager at NSPCC on this year’s initiative. Here is what he told us:

Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to our 2022 Salesforce runners. Salesforce have been supporting the NSPCC by putting together a London Marathon team for over 6 years. In that time, Salesforce have raised over £150,000. To put this into context, this would pay for our Childline service to function in its entirety for 5 days!

This year, the team is on track to raise over £30,000 for the NSPCC. These donations will make an incredible difference for children when they need us most, whether that’s through our Childline service, our adult Helpline service or our trained practitioners who are delivering therapeutic services to children who have experienced abuse.

I’d also like to thank makepositive for supporting the Salesforce team over the past few years. It’s great to have your support and I know the Salesforce team are truly thankful.

Team NSPCC are looking forward to congratulating all of the Salesforce runners on the 2nd October when you cross the finish line. It is such a great achievement and you should all be so proud, not only running a gruelling 26 miles but also the change your donations will mean for children.

If you’d like to find out more about the NSPCCs vital services, then please visit www.nspcc.org.uk or email me on [email protected] to find out more.

Thank you once again to Team Salesforce.

Lloyd Butcher, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, NSPCC
