Who we are and what we stand for
I started off as a PWC graduate working in the management consulting business. After a number of years of working across multiple verticals including telecoms, financial services and pharmaceuticals I started thinking about technology from a much broader view. This is where makepositive all started.
I still remember the first day we started trading as a company. I’m pleased to say that over a decade later we still have the same dream which is develop solutions and apps that have the potential to fundamentally change businesses.
Part of my job involves travelling around the world to meet organizational leaders, learning about their challenges and discussing ways that these can be overcome. I always learn something new and come away with fresh ideas as well as meeting some truly inspiring people who are able to take an idea and make it happen. I’m talking about people who don’t just do things for a capital gain, but have a big enough dream that what they are trying to achieve can change their business. As I look around me today I see myself surrounded by people at makepositive who share my dream of building a company that develops and delivers truly amazing technologies.
A person that’s really inspired me is Seth Godin – whether he’s writing about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, quitting or changing the world – everything he says resonates with me.
Outside of work I like to spend time with my little boy which usually involves dinosaurs, cars and swimming – in that order. I actively support Into University which is a charity that provides learning centres where young people are inspired and encouraged to achieve their dreams.
